Approaching the fundamentals

We are a group of 13 teachers. 6 are teachers of English, 5 are preschool teachers and one is both. Only 7 of us are now teaching English in preschool (most of which are teachers of English).

ALL ABOUT ME...
Reflecting on their own expectations, strengths, needs, and experience as teachers.

We have also gone through the characteristics of very young learners  and we've talked about the way they learn. We've revisited some theorists who have contributed to the teaching in preschool and to the teaching of English, such as Fröbel, Dewey, Piaget,Vigotsky, Bruner, Krashen, and Gardner.
We've seen today that preschool teachers and teachers of English know different things which can complement each other. All preschool teachers knew who Fröbel was, for instance, while all teachers of English were familiar with Krashen. This is just an example of how much we can learn from one another in this course.

Next week... GAMES
